The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development has issued a comprehensive report reviewing its activities, initiatives, and capacity-building programs implemented throughout 2025. The report highlights the Institute’s expanding national, regional, and international role in advancing good governance, sustainable development, and public sector reform in line with Egypt Vision 2030.

NIGSD Leads High-Level Roundtable on AI Governance to Promote Responsible and Sustainable Technology Practices

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, through Egypt’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, convened a high-level roundtable on “AI Governance: Policies and Practices for a Responsible and Sustainable Future” as part of the second round of the fourth Egypt Policy Forum, continuing discussions initiated during its first round at Cairo University’s CU-AI Nexus Conference. The session explored legislative challenges, capacity building, data management, and labor market implications of AI, concluding with key recommendations to establish a comprehensive governance framework.

NIGSD Delivers Training Program to Enhance Workflow Monitoring Skills for Senior Leaders at the General Organization for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development organized a specialized training program titled “Workflow Monitoring and Task Execution Skills” in cooperation with the General Organization for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes. The program targeted senior leadership across affiliated hospitals and institutes to strengthen institutional performance and improve implementation efficiency.

NIGSD Continues Sixth Week of the Fifth Cohort Training under the “Be an Ambassador” Initiative to Promote Sustainable Development Awareness

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) continued the sixth week of training for the fifth cohort of the “Be an Ambassador” initiative, aimed at empowering youth with sustainable development knowledge. Participants included researchers, academics, government and private sector employees, banking professionals, and representatives from Misr El-Kheir Foundation and the Egyptian Red Crescent.

NIGSD Launches “Innovation in the Public Sector” Training Program in Hurghada in Partnership with Hertie School, Germany, and Supported by Sawiris Foundation for Social Development

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) inaugurated the “Innovation in the Public Sector” training program in Hurghada, organized in partnership with Hertie School, Germany, and supported by the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development. The program brought together 27 participants from various government entities to enhance innovation and efficiency within the public sector.

NIGSD and APRM Renew Cooperation Protocol to Strengthen Joint Efforts in Governance and Sustainable Development

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) and the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) renewed their cooperation protocol to reinforce collaboration in governance and sustainable development across Africa.
