Strategic objectives

With the aim of disseminating good governance principles and contributing to the realization of the aspirations of Agenda 2063, the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development launched its African Network. The TNMIA initiative was announced by the Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development in April 2019 during the First African Governance and Development Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh. The initiative was endorsed by the African Union Delegation and recognized by the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Delegation. Since then, the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development has been leading and hosting the Network in Cairo, serving as a focal point and a key platform for all African members across the continent. The newly developed Network aims to strengthen the role of African institutions and act as a catalyst to facilitate interaction and information exchange between African governmental, private and non-governmental actors.
