NIGSD Holds Awareness Webinars for Government Employees on Sustainable Development and Egypt Vision 2030

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development held a number of online awareness seminars for employees from the governorates of Sohag, Gharbia, Menoufia, Fayoum, Minya, and North Sinai, as well as staff members from the Ministry of Awqaf, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, and the Upper Egypt Development Authority. These activities are part of an ongoing series of awareness programs delivered by the institute to governorates, public entities, and university students nationwide.

The seminars aimed to enhance awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals, governance concepts, and the pillars of Egypt Vision 2030, supporting the state’s efforts to achieve inclusive and sustainable development. Key topics included an introduction to the concept and objectives of sustainable development, the principles of good governance, and their role in improving institutional performance.

The sessions also addressed ways to enhance Egypt’s position in international sustainable development reports and highlighted the importance of governance as a cornerstone for effective policymaking and efficient resource management. Through these initiatives, the institute continues to advance capacity building and promote a culture of sustainability and governance across public institutions.
