With the participation of students from 20 faculties at Cairo University, the AI and Sustainable Development Hackathon has officially launched, in collaboration with the Egypt Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (affiliated with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development) and Cairo University.

The hackathon aims to introduce students to AI technologies and applications across different disciplines, with a focus on how these tools can be utilized to advance sustainable development and achieve Egypt’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This event is part of the preparatory activities for the International Conference on AI and Sustainable Development, which Cairo University will host in October 2025. The conference seeks to strengthen connections between academia, scientific research, and industry by encouraging students to generate innovative, practical solutions using AI technologies.

As part of the program, the Egypt Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation will deliver a lecture titled Design Thinking For Creative Solutions on August 26, 2025, at Cairo University’s Grand Celebration Hall. The lecture will equip students with creative thinking skills to develop innovative approaches for addressing developmental challenges.
