As part of the field activities for the fifth cohort of the “Be an Ambassador” initiative, youth trainees visited the SEKEM Foundation for Development in Sharqia Governorate. SEKEM operates in several key areas including industry, agriculture, technical education, healthcare, and livestock production. The visit forms part of the on-ground learning experiences organized by the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) for participants of the initiative.

These field visits aim to connect theoretical knowledge with practical exposure, enabling participants to observe national success stories in sustainable development and gain first-hand experience that empowers them to contribute to Egypt’s Vision 2030.

SEKEM Foundation stands as an exemplary model that integrates economic, social, and environmental dimensions within a holistic system based on innovation and green production—serving as an inspiring example of sustainability in action.

Through the “Be an Ambassador” initiative, NIGSD continues to equip Egyptian youth with the knowledge and skills needed to lead the transition toward sustainable development and strengthen the culture of good governance across institutions and communities.
