The Communication and Awareness Unit at the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) continues its summer university awareness campaign through a series of events held across campuses. As part of the national workshop series by the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) in Egypt, the unit organized an interactive session at the Faculty of Medicine of the Modern University for Technology and Information, attended by students from around 22 medical faculties across Egypt. The workshop focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the vital role medical students can play in achieving them to build a safer and healthier healthcare environment.

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development concluded the "Women's Leadership Development" training program with an official ceremony during which certificates of attendance were awarded to a group of employees from the Ministry of Culture. The initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to empower women and build female leadership capacities within the public sector.

A delegation from Nigeria’s National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies visited Egypt as part of a study tour focused on the blue economy and sustainable development. The group was received by Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development. Both sides discussed the Institute’s initiatives and explored opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, the Secretariat of Medical Affairs at the Cabinet of Ministers, the Oxford Program on Value and Leadership, and Eleven Group for Healthcare have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to launch a Value-Based Healthcare Program in Egypt.
