“Be an Ambassador” Youth Cohort Visits SEKEM Foundation in Sharqia as Part of Field Training Program

As part of its commitment to combining theoretical knowledge with practical exposure, the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development organized a field visit for the 5th cohort of the “Be an Ambassador” initiative to the SEKEM Foundation in Sharqia during the program’s second week.
Participants were introduced to SEKEM’s pioneering model of sustainable development in Egypt, which integrates industry, agriculture, and livestock production with healthcare and technical education. The foundation stands as a living example of balancing economic, social, and environmental dimensions of development.
These field visits aim to enhance participants’ awareness of sustainability by showcasing real-life applications and demonstrating how governance and sustainable development principles can be embedded across diverse sectors contributing to Egypt’s Vision 2030.
