“Be an Ambassador” Trainees Visit SEKEM Foundation for Development as Part of Fourth-Week Activities of the Fifth Cohort

As part of the fourth week of the fifth cohort of the “Be an Ambassador” initiative launched by the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, youth trainees conducted a field visit to the SEKEM Foundation for Development in Sharqia Governorate.This visit is part of the institute’s broader efforts to introduce participants to leading Egyptian models in sustainable development and to provide them with hands-on exposure to responsible management and social innovation practices.The SEKEM Foundation represents an integrated model for sustainable growth, combining industrial, agricultural, educational, health, and livestock activities under one development framework. During the visit, trainees toured SEKEM’s various projects and facilities, learning about how sustainability principles are embedded in daily operations and community engagement.The field trip is one of several organized by the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development under the “Be an Ambassador” initiative, aimed at deepening young people’s understanding of sustainability and empowering them to become active contributors to Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
